I seemed to have a lot of labels on me after coming out, lesbian, femme, gay, and all kinds of new words. I had a broken image of myself before coming out, like a pieces of broken glass that cannot be whole again. The road of self-discovery was a tough time for me. I kept doubting myself and tried to piece myself together, but couldn't seem to make a complete image. As time went on, I gradually found the missing pieces that makes everything fit. I now feel completely myself. I realized how comfortable it is to be genuine in my own skin. I pushed open the door and let the light in. I walked out of the dark closet. I am a girl, and I like the person who has the same physicality as me. Not shy, not ashamed, this is me.
